Exotic cars & vehicles

Stated-value hauls. Wheels, keys, aero, and the ramp that scrapes a splitter.

Do this now

Do not roll until VIN, mileage, wheels, aero, and keys are photographed and signed. Open the high-end desk, Exotic cars tab, for the full method.

Must-have

  • VIN, mileage, fuel or charge on the packet.
  • 360 plus splitter / rockers / wheels from the ground.
  • Locking-lug key, fobs, charge cable in a tote you control.
  • Stated-value cargo that matches the car — not a $100k general limit.
  • Ramps or a lift that load without scraping. Factory tie-downs only.
  • Delivery 360 before unstrapping. Mileage must match. Signed receipt.

The rule

  • 49 CFR 393

Securement at factory points. Never through carbon spokes. Never over bodywork.

  • Stated-value cargo

A $280,000 unit on a $100,000 cargo policy is uncovered from the first scratch.

What they don’t publish

  • One scrape of a carbon splitter is an $8,000 conversation. If the ramps are too steep, you do not take the job.
  • You are not a test driver. On and off the trailer only. Mileage at delivery is the pickup number plus the load.
  • Motorcycles, UTVs, and classics on the same trailer get the same parts walk. Helmets and doors walk off too.
